Army Service 29/4/69-7/7/89
Graeme Staunton served in 2 troop 3rd cavalry regiment. 2 tp.was attached in support,& under command of 7 R.A.R They Were stationed at the Horseshoe. A troop Of Cavalry had many rolls one being battlefield support, & to give the infantry mobility, so they could get them to were they could patrol from. also 3 troop went out to save the survivors of Delta Company 6 R.A.R on the 18 of August 1966. Whilst in S.V.N Graeme was involved in 3 S.A.S insurgence, & 3 Pick Ups Graeme was Posted to Alpha SQN 2 CAV.REGT., & was Committed To The cleanup of Darwin After Cyclone Tracy. He Then Was Posted To 4 CAV. REGT. then 3rd/4th Cavalry Regiment. Then 2nd/14th Light Horse Regiment Qld Mounted Infantry (Q.M.I) Graeme Also used to say he didn't call his time in the Army wasn't a job. it was more then a career too it was a way of LIFE!
