'LOWER BURDEKIN NOTES.
A tragic and fatal accident occurred last Saturday night August 13th. Mr. J. H. Lilley was driving home per sulky, and on one of the wheels getting into a deep rut, the occupant was dislodged and became tangled in the reins and wheel, being badly knocked about and sustaining internal injuries. The victim was conveyed to the Ayr Hospital, but on arrival there was beyond medical aid, and passed away, at mid-day on Sunday.' from Cairns Post 23 Aug 1921 (nla.gov.au)
