Son of Ben and the late Harriet Allen, Hobart, Tasmania
Husband of May Ethel Allen, Hobart Tas.
Ernest served in Egypt and Gallipoli (Evacuation) and in France. He acted as cook while on the sick list and was died of bomb wounds on May 24, 1917
