The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 25/6, 29, 36, 262 & 280. Prior to the war he was a clerk of Toowoomba Qld. He enlisted 6th Jan 1916 aged 18 years. He served in 41st Infantry Battalion and attained the rank of Lieutenant and earned a Military Cross for activities. He survived the war, and departed the UK for home 31st July 1918. Letters, papers and memoirs of Leslie Boyce are held in the Australian War Memorial - reference of 2DRL/1180.
