He was 30 and the son of Thomas Hunter Bias and Jane Spence Bias, of Flaws, Birsay, Orkney, Scotland. Born Birsay, Orkney Birsay (Old Norse: Birgisherað) is a parish in the north west corner of The Mainland of Orkney, Scotland. 1891 & 1901 Census: Flaws. Memorial: Eastabest., Orkney. Enlisted Sydney He is remembered on the Birsay War Memorial which stands almost at the junction of the B9056 with the A967 near the west end of the Loch of Boardhouse.
