Son of Gustav Theodore Haase and Annie Elizabeth Haase nee Keeping. Brother of Irene Isabel Haase, Albert Theodore Haase and Gustav Theodore
He was a member of the Gymbowen Rifle Club and held a Marksman's Certificate
On 21 March 1918 while serving with the 12 Field Ambulance he was congratulated on his coolness and devotion to duty
Commenced return to Australia on 10 May 1919 aboard Wahehe as nursing staff disembarking on 28 June 1919
