Aircraftwoman Marjorie Deborah Dawson (Service No:103748) served in the RAAF from 6 February 1943 to 3 January 1946. Aircraftwoman Dawson - mustered as a Telegraphist - served with RAAF Base Pearce and HQ Western Area.
Born in 1924 in Wagin WA, Marjorie was the daughter of Allen Cleve Dawson (b1895 at Cleve, South Australia) and Matilda (Till) May Holmes (b1898 in Chiltern, Victoria). Allen (a Farmer) and Till married in 1923 in Katanning, WA and settled at Dumbleyung where Allen was a Farmer and Mechanic.
Marjorie had some clerical experience before her enlistment in 1943, and in 1948 in Katanning WA, married Clive Wilson Rose (b1923 in Bunbury, WA) - Clive served in the Army in WWII and was Farmer in Burekup WA. Marjorie and Clive lived at Burekup before settling in Roelands nr Harvey WA where Clive was a Farmer until his death in 1967. Marjorie died in 2012.
