    24 Aug 1916: Embarked AIF WW1, Private, 6234, 12th Infantry Battalion, Embarked on HMAT 'A59' Botanist from Melbourne on 24th August 1916, disembarking Plymouth, England on 19th October 1916
    21 Dec 1916: Embarked AIF WW1, Private, 6234, 12th Infantry Battalion, Proceed overseas to France per Princess Clementine from Folkestone.
    15 Apr 1917: Imprisoned Private Baker was captured at Lagnicourt, France, on 15 April 1917 and held as a POW at Limburg then Wahn (both VIII Army Corps CoblenzGermany until transferred to Murren, Switzerland on 27 December 1917 and repatriated to England on 23 December 1918.
    2 Mar 1919: Embarked AIF WW1, Private, 6234, 12th Infantry Battalion, Embarked on HMT Derbyshire from England on 2nd March 1919, disembarking Melbourne on 15th April 1919.
