Son of Patrick Harnett Clifford and Mary Alice Clifford of 'Riversdale Station', Bredbo, NSW.
Brother of Alice O'Hara nee Clifford of Alison Road, Randwick, NSW and Conyers Clifford who was killed in action on 5 August 1916 while serving with the 7th Light Horse Regiment and is buried in the Kantara War Memorial Cemetery. Row B, Grave 21
