Son of Thomas Joseph Hickey and Amelia Claire Hickey of 'Telleraga Station', Moree, NSW
Brother of Charles Cox Hickey who returned to Australia on 22nd July 1919 having served with the 1st Light Horse Regiment and the 5th Divisional Column and Gordon Stanley Hickey who returned to Australia on 12th January 1920 having served with the 4th Motor Transport Company
