George was born as George Sidney ARRIGHI in 1897 in Sydney - his age on his enlistment is incorrect
His parents were Louigi Gomar Baptiste ARRIGHI and Ellen HARRINGTON who married in St Mathias Church in Paddington on 17th November, 1892 - his father Louigi was also known as John on some of the families births
His brother Alexander ARRIGHI also served in WW1 (SN 5928) and returned to Australia in 1919
