6th Sanitary Section AIF

About This Unit

The 6th Sanitary Section was based in the UK from 1916 until 1919. It was responsible for all of the sanitation needs of the Australian camps throughout England. Throughout World War One the 6th Sanitary Section numbered around 1 officer (usually a Major or a Captain with medical experience) and 25 other ranks (most with no pervious medical experience before the war.)

We would particularly like to encourage individual historians researchers or members of unit associations to contribute to the development of a more detailed history and photographs pertaining to this unit and its members.

Please contact admin@vwma.org.au (mailto:admin@vwma.org.au) for details on how to contribute.
