My Dear little Amy
Just a few lines thanking you for your nice photo which I received alright and am very pleased with. Tell dady and Muma that I am still alright and hope to remain so. The latest letter I have received was from Nellie left home in May 1917 which was the first I have had for about 8 weeks. Hope dad and Mum are still alright am looking forward to be home Christmas 1918 Tell Nellie that I got her photo alright and it is very good of her and ask her if she had a letter from me the one in which I explained about that young lady her friend. Well I must now close wishing dada and mum the best of luck and happiness good bye xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
