Biography

Reginald Charles George FRANKEL was born 19th June, 1888, Yongala, South Australia His parents were David Ferdinand FRANKEL and Clara Louisa ANSTEY He served in Egypt, France & Belgium in WW1 He was a Corporal when he enlisted 13.1.1915 D Squadron Light horse Brigade Train 4 Unit embarked from Adelaide 26.5.1915 on ship HMAT Afric Promoted to 2nd Lieutenant 25.3.1917 Promoted to Lieutenant 10.7.1917 returned to Australia 7.11.1917 ship Ascanius He also served in World War 2 Service no. S47530 His brothers Frederick David FRANKEL & Lance Beveridge FRANKEL also served in WW1 Reginald married Nora Marguerite KNELL in 1929 in Queanbeyan, New South Wales Reginald died 24.1.1968 aged 79 years - last residence Kensington Gardens He is buried in Centennial Park Cemetery in Adelaide, South Australia
