Son of Robert John Lewis Foxton and Harriett Ann Fox of Crookwell, NSW. Brother of Vivian Stephen Russell Foxton who returned to Australia on 4 July 1919 having served with the 35th Battalion
During 1925c Leonard married Sarah J. Coggan in Crookwell, NSW
Returned to Australia on 12 May 1918 aboard HT Rauhine
