Son of John Coffey and Harriet Coffey of Roberts Street, Rose Bay, NSW
Commenced return to Australia on 12 March 1918 aboard HT Kenilworth Castle disembarking at Durban. On 28 April 1918 he re-embarked on the Field Marshall for Australia then disembarking at Melbourne on 23 May 1918 for onward travel to Sydney, NSW
