Enlisted 1956 as a recruit - Retired in 1992 as a Major

Served with the 3rd Battalion, RAR in Malaya in 1957-59,

Served with the 2nd Battalion, RAR in Malaya in 1961-63,

Served with the 7th Battalion, RAR in South Vietnam in 1967-68,

Served with the Australian Army Training Team Vietnam (AATTV) in 1969-70 and

Served in PNG 1974-76.
