Elizabeth Nixon worked in the Children's Hospital, Sydney, before volunteering to join the New South Welsh contingent of nurses sent to South Africa.
Nurse Nixon, who comes of gallant fighting stock, her father and
grandfather both having been distinguished, officers, are included in the 'plucky' little band of nurses.
